Terms of use

The agreement between you and Mindling: what is free, what Pro adds, and what we each expect.

Using Mindling

By creating an account or using Mindling, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you are responsible for what happens on your account. An account is for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Your notes stay yours

Everything you write, record and upload belongs to you. You give us permission to store it, show it back to you, and process it to run the features you use — transcribing a recording, generating a study pack, structuring a note, searching it, and putting your scheduled reviews on your calendar if you connect one.

Only upload a recording of a lecture, a meeting or a class where you are allowed to record it and where the other people involved are not being recorded unlawfully.

What is free, and what Pro adds

Capturing notes, templates, structure, the board, tags and resurfacing are free. A free account transcribes 3 recordings a month.

Mindling Pro adds the AI study packs and raises the recording allowance to 20 a month. Pro costs $9 a month, or $72 for a year.

Extra recordings can be bought in packs of 10 for $3. They are a one-off payment and never expire. Monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month.

Billing

Payments are handled by Base44 Payments. Subscriptions continue until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time from Settings, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that, your account returns to the free plan.

If something looks wrong with a charge, get in touch through mindlingnotes.com and we will look into it.

What not to do

Do not use Mindling for anything unlawful, do not upload content you have no right to, and do not try to break the app or work around what it meters — including the recording allowances and what Pro unlocks, and the limits on how often the AI features can be called. Do not resell Mindling or pass it off as your own.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

The AI features are a study aid

Transcripts, summaries, study packs and automatically structured notes are generated, and generation makes mistakes. Check anything important against your own material or the original recording. Nothing Mindling produces is professional advice.

The app belongs to us

The Mindling name, its logo, and the app itself remain ours. These terms give you the right to use Mindling, not to own any part of it.

Availability

We work to keep Mindling running, and improve it over time, which means features can change and there may be times when it is unavailable. We are not liable for anything lost because the app was unavailable.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. If you break these terms, we may end your access. If that happens, you can ask us to help you get your notes out.

Limits on our responsibility

Mindling is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for lost content, profit or data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Mindling is operated, and disputes will be handled by the courts there.

Changes, and getting in touch

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we will say so in the app. Continuing to use Mindling after a change means you accept the new terms.

Questions about these terms can be raised through mindlingnotes.com.
